Final goal
Our top priority was to build an e-commerce website that allows people who want to buy furniture to search and order home delivery.
Design challenge
How might we design a strong system that helps shoppers browse products faster, have them delivered in time and be satisfied with their purchases?
Solution
After research, my team came up with 3 design solutions:
01.
Built a strong architecture information where shoppers can browse quickly.
02.
Allow shoppers to view potential purchases in 3D at their homes.
03.
Display delivery information (such as self-assembly or handyman required) to shoppers.
Design
[Search experience]
Since the company is a new player on the market, having an intuitive search interface is critical for increasing user retention.
[View in my room]
The site will automatically sizing images to scale to fit the scanning background. Seeing the images at scale removes the guesswork involved in figuring out whether that furniture will actually fit in your cramped living room.
[Maynooth Assembler]
Shoppers are welcome to have furniture assembled by themselves or request our assembly service. The assembly instruction can be found easyly on the product details page
